Mid-February sadly saw yet another mobile phone dealer, Mobile Matters (UK) Ltd trading as “The Mobile Outlet”, enter into administration.

Following the failure of other dealers (as per my previous posts), this is likely to leave yet more consumers out of pocket – specifically, those who opted for cashback-based mobile phone deals.

I expect there’ll be more examples of similar closures in coming months and would urge people to consider buying direct from major mobile networks – Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, O2 and 3 – where they won’t be exposed to similar levels of financial risk.
